Kangaroo Milk Replacer <0.4
Specialised Milk Formula for Early-Stage Kangaroo & Wallaby Joeys

Usage
Recommended for orphaned or hand-reared “pinkie” joeys. Due to their fragile condition, these joeys require intensive care and should only be managed by experienced wildlife carers with appropriate resources. Consider using Impact Colostrum Supplement to support immune health.
Mixing Instructions
To make 100mL: Mix 14g of powder (2 scoops) with 95mL of warm, pre-boiled water.
To make 1L: Mix 140g of powder with 950mL of warm, pre-boiled water.
Add half the water to the powder and mix to a smooth paste. Add the remaining water and blend thoroughly. Avoid using water that is too hot (which may curdle the milk) or too cold (which may prevent proper mixing). Use an electric whisk for larger volumes. Prepared milk can be stored in the fridge for 1 day or frozen in small portions (e.g. ice cube trays) for up to 2 weeks. Discard any thawed, unused milk.
Feeding Guide
Warm milk to 30°C. Feed using a bottle and teat or a syringe with a Wombaroo STM Teat. Feed 8 times per day for joeys with an Age Factor <0.4. During hot weather or signs of dehydration, offer additional water between feeds. Joeys at this age require constant monitoring and optimal husbandry conditions. Consult with a veterinarian or experienced macropod carer for support.
Growth Monitoring
Growth rates vary across species. Use Wombaroo growth charts as a guideline for different kangaroo and wallaby species. Weigh joeys regularly to ensure healthy weight gain. Avoid overfeeding, which can lead to diarrhoea.
Transition to Next Formula
When a joey’s ears begin to stand upright, it’s time to transition to Kangaroo Milk Replacer 0.4. Transition gradually over 10 days by blending decreasing amounts of <0.4 formula with increasing amounts of 0.4 formula, following guidelines provided in the growth charts. Age—not weight—is the key indicator for formula changes.
