Directions for Use
Mix 40g of Echidna Food (approximately 5 scoops) with 120mL of warm water to form a smooth slurry.
For echidnas already on a formulated diet, transition gradually by replacing 10–20% of their previous food with Echidna Food each day. For hand-reared puggles, begin introducing small amounts of Echidna Food into the milk replacer, gradually increasing over 4 weeks until fully weaned.
To further support gut health and mimic natural feeding behaviour, mix prepared Echidna Food with ~10% crushed termite mound and a few live termites where possible.
Feeding Guide
Maintenance feeding levels vary by individual. Use body weight and condition as a guide, adjusting portions accordingly. Breeding adults and growing juveniles may require 2–4 times the maintenance amount. For other insectivorous species, adapt feeding rates to suit specific metabolic needs.
