Feeding Instructions:

Feed Wombaroo Kangaroo Pellets as a nutritional supplement alongside pasture, native browse, and hay. Always ensure access to fresh water, especially as pellet feeding may increase water consumption.

Feeding Rate:
Use as a supplement comprising approximately 15% of the total dry matter intake. The exact amount will vary depending on the animal's species, age, weight, and the quality of other foods in the diet.
Note: 1 metric cup = approx. 120g of Wombaroo Pellets.

Transitioning to Wombaroo Pellets:

Some captive herbivores may be habituated to diets high in cereals, fruits, vegetables, or lucerne hay. To promote healthy eating habits, gradually phase out these foods while introducing Wombaroo Pellets.

For Successful Transitioning:

• Ensure animals are in good health and housed in a low-stress environment.

• Convert during mild weather conditions, avoiding temperature extremes.

• Provide constant access to clean water.

• Remove other non-native food sources like muesli mixes, fruit, or vegetables.

Young animals typically adapt more easily to new foods, while older animals may require patience and persistence.

Using Pellets for Weaning Joeys:

Hand-reared joeys can be weaned onto pellets by soaking them in milk formula to create a soft mash. Gradually reduce the liquid content as the joey adjusts to solid food. This method ensures a smooth transition from milk to a nutritionally complete adult diet.
