HAYNETS

Haynets for horses are so useful in many situations. Choose a hay net with small or larger holes depending on how slow you want your horse to eat.  Some horses are very good with hay nets so choosing a hay net with smaller holes mimics grazing and stops them from gorging the hay.

  • Hay nets extend feeding time - this can assist with boredom if a horse is stabled or tied up

  • Reduce waste - Hay nets stop the horse from trampling, scattering the hay and destroying it. It also prevents it getting spoilt in the environment by dirt, sand or mud

  • Gut health - Slower feeding via a hay net will reduce digestive upsets and can reduce the risk of choke or colic

Be sure to secure your horses hay net somwhere to prevent the potential of the horse getting tangled in it or getting their hooves in it.
