HRC Levistar LV Oral Drench is a levamisole-based anthelmintic designed for the control of levamisole-sensitive gastrointestinal roundworms and lungworms in sheep and cattle. As a clear drench from the imidazothiazole group, Levistar LV provides reliable short-acting worm control, including effectiveness against benzimidazole-resistant strains.

This oral drench is suitable for use in both sheep and cattle and is particularly valuable in worm control programs where barber’s pole worm and black scour worm are present. Levistar LV delivers targeted parasite control while offering short meat and milk withholding periods for production flexibility.

Levamisole Hydrochloride 80 g/L (equivalent to 68 g/L levamisole)

• Thin necked intestinal worm

• Large lungworm
• Small brown stomach worm

Cattle:

• Mature Ostertagia spp. (adult only) in cattle under 12 months of age

Directions for use

Levistar LV is administered orally as a drench. Accurately estimate liveweight and dose to the heaviest animal in the group to avoid underdosing. Check drenching equipment before and during use.

Dose rates:

• Cattle: 5 mL per 50 kg liveweight
• Sheep: 1 mL per 10 kg liveweight

Withholding periods

• Meat: Do not use less than 3 days before slaughter
• Milk: Zero (0) days
• Export Slaughter Interval (ESI): 7 days

Always follow label directions. Levistar LV should be used as part of a strategic worm control program, including worm egg counts and resistance testing where appropriate.
