Worma Oral Drench for Horses & Cattle – Oxfendazole

Worma Oral Drench is a broad spectrum anthelmintic formulated for the treatment and control of major internal parasites in horses and cattle. Containing the active ingredient oxfendazole, this liquid drench provides an economical and convenient option for parasite control in studs, dairy herds, feedlots, and grazing stock.

Oxfendazole is a member of the benzimidazole family and is known for its wide safety margin, fast action, and longer residual activity compared to other benzimidazole drenches. Worma is relatively odourless and tasteless, making it suitable for oral administration or mixing into feed for animals that are difficult to drench.

• Oesophagostomum spp. (nodule worm)
• Dictyocaulus spp. (lungworm)
• Bunostomum spp. (hookworm)
• Moniezia spp. (tapeworm)

Horses:

• Strongylus vulgaris (bloodworm – mature and immature stages)
• Strongylus edentatus (large strongyles including migratory stages)
• Small strongyles (cyathostomes susceptible to oxfendazole)
• Parascaris equorum (roundworm)
• Oxyuris equi (pinworm)
• Habronema microstoma (stomach worm)
• Trichostrongylus axei (stomach hair worm)

Active ingredient

Oxfendazole 100 g/L

Directions for use

Horses: Administer orally at 10 mL per 100 kg bodyweight.

Cattle: Administer orally at 5 mL per 100 kg bodyweight.

Important information

• Base dose on the heaviest animal in the group
• Do not underdose
• Not effective against benzimidazole-resistant worms
• Resistance testing is recommended prior to use
• Safe to use alongside vaccinations and most treatments

Storage

Store below 30°C in the original container, tightly closed and away from foodstuffs.
