Drontal Worming Treatment Chews for Large Dogs
Drontal is a highly effective worming solution that helps control a broad range of gastrointestinal worms in dogs, including roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and tapeworms (including hydatid tapeworm). Available in both easy-to-administer tablets and tasty liver-flavored chews, Drontal ensures your dog gets the care it needs with minimal fuss.
How Drontal Works:
Drontal features a powerful combination of three active ingredients that provide broad-spectrum protection against worms. The febantel/pyrantel combination effectively treats roundworms, hookworms, and offers excellent efficacy against whipworms. Praziquantel targets and eliminates all major tapeworm species, including the challenging hydatid tapeworm, ensuring a thorough treatment for your dog.
Important Information: Drontal works by eliminating the adult worms present in your dog's intestines at the time of treatment. However, it does not prevent future worm infestations. Regular worming is essential as dogs can easily become reinfected through contact with other animals or contaminated environments.
Recommended Treatment Schedule:

For Puppies:
- Treat at 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 weeks of age
- Monthly at 4, 5, and 6 months of age
- Every 3 months after 6 months of age

For Pregnant and Lactating Bitches:
- Treat before mating
- 10 days before whelping
- 2 and 4 weeks after whelping

For Dogs in Hydatid Tapeworm Areas:
- Treat every 6 weeks to prevent reinfection.

Drontal for 11.5Kg dogs
By: Express on 13 April 2014My wife and I own 4 dogs. A labrador at 35Kg and 3 smaller dogs at around 11.5Kg. We cut the 35Kg Drontal into 3 for the smaller dogs. We feel the 10Kg Drontal may be under dosage for 11.5Kg dogs, we also save money per dose.

Not so tasty now
By: Express on 31 December 2013Hi I have been buying these dog warmers for years now and unfortunately my 12 year old dog does not like them as a treat anymore. We have to hide them in his food but he does eat them. I do not know how to push the tablets down his throat so these chewable pallets are the best option for me. Your dog may enjoy them just that ours has become fussy towards them. K
