Drontal Worming Treatment for Dogs

How Drontal Works:

Drontal contains a combination of three proven active ingredients, offering the broadest spectrum of activity against gastrointestinal worms. The febantel/pyrantel combination is effective against roundworms, hookworms, and highly effective against whipworms. Praziquantel targets and eliminates all major tapeworm species, including hydatid tapeworm, with excellent efficiency.

Important Note: Drontal is effective in killing adult worms present in the intestines at the time of treatment, but it does not prevent future infestations. Regular treatment is essential as dogs can easily become reinfected through contact with other animals or the environment.

Recommended Treatment Schedule:

• Puppies:

  • 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 weeks of age
  • Monthly at 4, 5, and 6 months of age
  • Every 3 months thereafter

• Pregnant and Lactating Bitches:

  • Before mating
  • 10 days before whelping
  • 2 and 4 weeks after whelping

• Hydatid Tapeworm Areas:

  • Dogs in regions affected by hydatid tapeworm should be treated every 6 weeks.
