Vet Nurse Tip
Always check the temperature of Divetelact before feeding baby animals. If your little one is a slow drinker, the formula may cool during feeding. Keep a jug of warm water nearby and place the bottle in it to maintain warmth. Test the temperature on your wrist before offering - it should feel like body temp, not too hot or cold. Each animal may prefer slightly different temperatures, so keep an eye on what works best.
FAQs About Divetelact
Can I use Divetelact for both puppies and kittens?
Yes, Divetelact is suitable for both puppies and kittens, as well as a wide range of other animals including rabbits, lambs, foals, and native wildlife. It provides essential nutrients needed for growth and development.
Is Divetelact safe for newborn animals?
Absolutely. It’s specifically designed as a complete milk replacement for newborns that are orphaned, rejected, or not getting enough milk from their mother. Always follow the dilution and feeding guides based on animal size and age.
Can adult animals benefit from Divetelact?
Yes. Divetelact can be used as a supplement for senior pets, providing antioxidants, amino acids, and vitamins that support muscle strength, immune health, and vitality in ageing animals.
How should I store prepared Divetelact formula?
Once mixed, refrigerate any unused formula and use it within 24 hours. Discard leftovers from bottles or bowls after each feeding session to avoid contamination.
What if my pet has loose stools after starting Divetelact?
If diarrhoea occurs, reduce the formula to ¾ strength for a few days. Gradually return to full strength once stools return to normal. This allows the digestive system time to adjust.
How do I check if the milk is the right temperature?
Before feeding, test the milk temperature on the inside of your wrist - it should feel warm but not hot, similar to human baby formula. If your animal is a slow drinker, keep the bottle warm in a jug of water during feeding.

Divetelact
By: Karin on 19 January 2014When starting to breed White Shepherds in 2002 I was quite ignorant about the best way to feed the bitch and then the pups. I did not have access to the internet then and by browsing the shelves of produce stores and pet shops, I found Divetelact. Since then I have been giving Diveltelact to my lactating bitches and never had any problems with having to supplementary feed the pups because the bitch didn't have enough milk even in litters of up to 14 pups. The bitches always had an ample milk supply to feed the puppies and also held their condition. The pups were then weaned on Diveltelact. The only problem has been that sometimes it was difficult to get and also the high cost was off-putting however, I did not consider to raise pups without Divetelact. I tried other supplements but the bitches and pups didn't like it.

By: Isabella on 30 June 2011I have been using this for around 5 years now and have found it to be reliable. I mix this into my kittens' wet food when we try to wean them and it works perfectly.
