Impact Colostrum provides essential immune support for newborn mammals and marsupial joeys. It is used when a baby animal has not received enough maternal colostrum or needs extra immune protection in early life.

What Is Impact Used For?

Impact can be fed to newborn kittens, puppies, rabbits, guinea pigs, horses, alpacas, calves, lambs, piglets, wildlife and more. It can also be added to milk for marsupial joeys.

How to Use for Newborn Mammals

• Feed as soon as possible after birth.
• Works best in the first 12 hours but may still help for several days.
• Newborns with no maternal colostrum should receive 2 doses within 48 hours.

First 12 Hours

• Feed one Impact Dose (see table on packaging).
• You may divide the dose into smaller feeds 2–3 hours apart.
• Do not feed milk during this time.

After 12 Hours

• Start feeding normal milk.
• Feed a second Impact Dose.
• Ensure a 2-hour gap between Impact and milk feeds.
• Do not mix Impact with milk.

How to Make an Impact Dose

• Weigh the animal.
• Use the dosage table to select the correct amount of powder.
• Mix with warm, pre-boiled water until fully dissolved.

Storage: Refrigerate for 24 hours or freeze for up to 2 weeks.

Using Impact for Marsupial Joeys

Ideal for pouch-bound joeys within their first week of coming into care. Supports immunity when maternal protection has faded.

Maintenance Dose (Daily Support)

Add 1g Impact per 100mL of milk. Provides gentle, ongoing immune support.

Concentrated Dose (Short-Term Boost)

Add 5g Impact per 100mL of milk for up to 5 days. Suitable for new arrivals, sick or stressed joeys, or before pouch emergence.

Important: Ensure joeys are well-hydrated before feeding concentrated doses.
