How to Use Thundershirt

- Place the Thundershirt on your dog’s back and wrap the short flap under the torso.
- Secure the long flap over the short flap with velcro, snug but comfortable.

Unfortunately didnt work for me
By: Jane on 8 February 2023I have a mini Dachshund who is great with people but very temperamental with other dogs. Sometimes shes good, other times she becomes very aggressive. I tried the thundershirt but unfortunately it made no difference at all. She continued to bark and be aggressive to every dog that walked past our table at a restaurant. Albeit dachshunds are notoriously barky and frequently aggressive with other dogs, and are bred to ignore distractions, so it is a hard task to untrain bad behaviour. So maybe this may help your dog with fear and/or comfort, but unfortunately it didnt work with my dog. I was gifted a sample to trial and review.

Surprised how well this worked!
By: Jane on 3 February 2023Like many we decided to introduce a new furry member to the family during the Covid outbreak and as you know over the past few years the work from home as become the norm which allowed us to spend lots of time with our special little guy (miniature Schnauzer). The unfortunate side of this however is we have a dog who has only ever know us to be around 24/7 and now doesn’t deal well with being left alone. Unrelated to this he is also not a confident traveler in the car which normally consists of panting and drooling and if we are unlucky ends with vomit in the back seat. We have been using the Thundershirt for 1 month now and I was amazing to find the panting and drooling stopped immediately! We have also been leaving him home along to extended periods of time and am glad to hear reports from our neighbors he has been relatively silent. I was gifted a product sample to trail and review

After 5-6 times, he is finally comfortable with it and it seems to be helping with his behaviour around other dogs. I was gifted a product sample to trial and review

A comforter for our pup
By: Jane on 2 February 2023Our spoodle pup is a fairly anxious guy, especially with loud noises and storms. It arrived in time for some big storms, so we tested it out and it helped settle him immediately. The pressure really seemed to soothe him, and he curled up right next to me during a big thunderstorm. Usually he paces and has his tail between his legs. A wonderful little thing to have to make our little guy relax. I was gifted a product sample to trial and review.

By: Jane on 1 February 2023What a high quality product! Our dog has severe anxiety and has had since we rescued her from a shelter 8 years ago. We have tried so many different products to reduce her anxiety, but we haven't tried a ThunderShirt before now. The ThunderShirt is so easy to put on, and the stretch fabric means our dog is very comfortable. I love that you don't have to manage poking her legs through tiny holes, it means the process of putting on the ThunderShirt is easy. It's a light fabric so will be easy to wash too. I'm still observing our dog and seeing if it makes a difference, but everything must help. I was gifted a product sample to trial and review.

By: Jane on 31 January 2023I think the thunder shirt really works I take my dashound on Xmas holiday and she gets anxiety from travelling in the car four three hours it calmed her down a lot and didn't bark at everything it was a good send when we broke down and had to wait for emergency services She also tends to pull on her lead when walking her the thunder shirt helped a lot and she enjoyed her walk I highly reccomrnd this product I was gifted a product sample to trial and review

Calming Anxiety
By: Jane on 31 January 2023Because Maxi is such a super sensitive guy who suffers anxiety - barks crazily at birds sitting on the fence, the postman, children on bikes, people walking past the house, door knocks, we were lucky to be able to try out the ThunderShirt on Maxi. The fabric of the ThunderShirt felt so smooth, stretchy and really cool for him to wear, being it so hot in Brisbane. Returning from our holiday we noticed MaxiâÃÂÃÂs anxiety had flared up a bit especially with his sensitive ears and excessive barking, so the ThunderShirt couldnâÃÂÃÂt have come at a better time. The ThunderShirt is practical, easy to use and adjustable, so we were able to make it comfortable and snug around his body perfectly. I was quite surprised at how it calmed him quite instantly. We can now use this to help manage MaxiâÃÂÃÂs anxiety to keep him calmer and more relaxed. Very happy with this product. I was gifted a product sample to trial and review.

Seems to work!
By: Jane on 30 January 2023*We were gifted a sample to try and review* I wasn't sure if this would do anything initially. Our 34 kg bouncy boy likes to energetically greet new guests, and we try very hard to get him relaxed and polite, such as treats, balls etc. to stop him from jumping or mouthing them when they first arrive, and also to try to get him to sit still and stop circling them! We tried it out the other night and he seemed to calm down almost immediately. Two minutes later he was lying on his bed calmly while the guests sat and chatted a couple of meters away. We will continue to try it out it other situations. For example we know from our webcam that he howls when we're out and I'd like to see if this helps. Something I'm a bit unsure about though is the cut of the thundershirt: it's very close to and could easily get in the way of his penis and I'm concerned that he might wee on it and then have to wear it! might just be his body shape though... For that reason I gave it four stars (might be a bit harsh)

Thunder shirt for the win
By: Jane on 29 January 2023I was a bit skeptical a first but was keen to try anything to help my dog with the anxiety and fear she has with thunderstorms and fireworks. We had fireworks go off here before any storms and popped the Thundershirt on my girl. Normally she would go and hide in a wardrobe and be shaking uncontrollably but to our surprise she happily sat with us for the during of the fireworks. A few days later we had a severe thunderstorm that went on for over an hour and she once again happily sat with us with no signs of anxiety or fear. The Thundershirt has been amazing and Iâm happy to spread the word to all my fur baby loving friends. I was gifted a product sample to trial and review

Very impressed
By: Jane on 21 February 2019We had been experiencing thunderstorms frequently which sent one of my dogs into extreme anxiety to the point I would sleep with him trying to keep him calm. Before buying, I reviewed the product. I have to say I am impressed. He is much calmer now when storms happen and is a much happier dog. Still has a little whimper when thunder is loud but certainly much better. Haven't tried it on fireworks yet but hoping it has the same effect.

She is very happy to put it on and no longer takes off giving Daniel Recardo no chance to get under the bed first?.It has calmed her down and for that we are grateful and extremely happy to recommend this coat! Will always have one in our house.

Calms almost instantly
