When to Use Gastro-Coat

• For horses diagnosed with or prone to gastric ulcers (EGUS).
• Before training, competition, or long-distance travel.
• For girthy or sensitive horses that resist forward movement, especially in canter.

Formulation

• Natural mucilage compounds and phospholipids.
• Synergistic yeast extracts to support stomach function.
• Vanilla milk flavoured sticky powder for excellent palatability.
• Does not contain soy, wheat, or artificial fillers.

Feeding Guide

Each scoop provides 40 g. The standard dose is 80 g daily, given in one of three ways:

• In the feed: Mix 80 g into daily feed to support appetite and digestion.
• In a small feed (recommended): Provide 80 g in lucerne chaff 30 minutes before training, competition, or travel.
• As an oil paste: Mix 80 g with 80 mL vegetable oil or Energy Gold oil and give 5–10 minutes before work or transport.

Gastro-Coat is commonly given as a 2–3 month course, then reduced to 3–4 times weekly for maintenance. High-performance horses may benefit from daily long-term use.

Competition Safe

Gastro-Coat does not swab or contain banned substances and complies with FEI and Racing regulations. It supports gastric comfort but does not artificially enhance performance. Observe local rules regarding supplements within 24 hours of racing.
