Caique Supplies and Supplements

Pronouced ky-eeks, Caiques are the known as little clowns.  They are very acrobatic and playful. They enjoy being occupied and are highly intelligent, gregarious, and inquisitive. They require a stimulated environment with plenty of perches, engaging chew toys, and engaging activity toys. . When it comes to learning tricks, caiques are fantastic!

Compared to larger parrots, caiques are very quiet, although they may make an extremely high-pitched, piercing call. Though they aren't recognized for their speech, caiques frequently pick up the art of whistling. In addition, caiques don't play well with other birds and have a tendency to be rather territorial.  

Caiques are medium sized parrots with stocky bodies and short tails.  They average height is approx 23 - 25cm
