Wormout GelBy: Jane Baird on 12 March 2017My Dad is a veterinarian and he contacted by phone Vetafarm V6 in Wagga Wagga re instructions for use in drinking water for point-of lay pullets as the instructions on the bottle were not very clear. They suggested using 2mL/320 mL and how to prepare it. Followed their instructions about mixing in a small bottle and shaking before topping up to required measure of water. Made up using 12.5 ml in 2L of water. The bottom line is the dilution was NOT palatable and after 6 hours the birds were not drinking the solution and were thirsty (actively looking for water). So we re-made the solution using lots of apple juice and quite a lot of sugar to improve the palatability. The bids then drank that preparation. We waited for a cooler day before using the product and that should be included on the instructions. The product needs much better instructions and how to improve the palatability.
