Packed with a scientifically balanced blend of essential vitamins, minerals, calcium, and amino acids, Nutriblend Mini promotes optimal feather development, tissue repair, and brain function. When fed as the primary diet—comprising approximately 80% of your bird’s daily intake—these pellets offer a complete nutritional foundation to support long-term health and vitality.

Extrusion cooking enhances the pellets’ palatability, digestibility, and food safety, while reducing the waste commonly associated with seed feeding. This ensures that your feathered friend benefits from every bite, leading to a longer, healthier life.

Feeding Guidelines

Primary Diet: Nutriblend Mini should make up about 80% of your bird’s daily diet.
Supplemental Foods: The remaining 20% should consist of healthy fresh fruits and vegetables (around 15%) and a small portion of treats such as nuts and seeds (approximately 5%).
Daily Pellet Intake Recommendation: Vetafarm suggests feeding parrots a minimum of 10% of their body weight in pellets per day, for example:
50g Bourke Parrot (or similar): minimum 5g of pellets daily
60g Plum-headed Parakeet (or similar): minimum 6g of pellets daily
100g Cockatiel (or similar): minimum 10g of pellets daily

How much will your bird eat?
As a guide, most cage and aviary birds will consume about 10% of their bodyweight in dry feed per day. As an example, a 100g cockatiel will consume approximately 10g of dry food per day. Fruits and Vegetables: Fruit and Vegetables should be fed to your bird (20% of diet) to encourage interaction and provide variety and stimulation. Chewable items like pine cones, cuttlefish bone, and native tree branches may be provided to help occupy your bird.

Using Vetafarm foods as a supplement:
Vetafarm Diets can also be used as a supplement to seed based or homemade mixtures. Provide Vetafarm Diets as approximately 10 - 20 % of the total diet. Ensure that the Vetafarm Pellet, crumble or powder is being consumed. Further supplementation may be required depending on the seed/mixture used.
