Maintaining a regular worming schedule is essential for the health and productivity of laying hens. Vetafarm Laying Hen Wormout Solution offers an effective, easy-to-administer treatment for the most common intestinal worms found in poultry—without the need for an egg withholding period.

This in-water solution is specially formulated to treat and control:

• Large Roundworms (Ascaridia galli)

• Caecal Worms (Heterakis gallinae)

• Hairworms (Capillaria spp.)

These intestinal parasites are commonly transmitted through the fecal-oral route—spread via contaminated droppings, soil, and ingestion of secondary hosts such as earthworms or slugs. If left untreated, worm infestations can lead to serious health issues, including intestinal blockages, nutrient malabsorption, reduced egg production, pale yolks, and fragile shells.

Symptoms of Worm Infestation:

Directions for Use:

• Dilution Rate: Mix 50mL per 1L of drinking water

• Frequency: Treat every 3 months (4 times per year)

• Best Practice:

  • Withhold drinking water 2 hours before nightfall the evening prior to treatment

  • Supply medicated water the following morning

  • Replace with fresh water once medicated water is consumed or after 8 hours

  • Discard any unused medicated water and rinse containers thoroughly

Note: Avoid treating during very hot weather due to increased water intake. Do not treat on cold or wet days when birds may consume less water.

Withholding Periods:

• Meat: Do not use less than 7 days before slaughter

• Eggs: Zero (0) days – Eggs are safe to eat during and after treatment
