Protect Against Fleas
NexGard Spectra kills adult fleas quickly before they lay eggs, helping break the flea lifecycle and preventing infestations in your home. Fleas can also cause skin irritation, transmit diseases, and lead to anaemia in high numbers. Regular monthly treatment keeps both your dog and household safe.
Protect Against Ticks
One chew protects against paralysis ticks, bush ticks, and brown dog ticks for a full month. Paralysis ticks are particularly dangerous, and untreated bites can be fatal. Brown dog ticks can transmit other parasites, including Babesia, and cause anaemia when infestations are heavy.
Protect Against Heartworm
NexGard Spectra prevents heartworm disease, a potentially fatal condition spread by mosquitoes. Your veterinarian may recommend a heartworm test before starting treatment. Monthly dosing ensures continuous protection.
Protect Against Intestinal Worms
NexGard Spectra treats and controls roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms, preventing nutrient loss, anaemia, and gastrointestinal disease. Effective flea control also helps prevent flea tapeworm (Dipylidium caninum) infestations. Consult your veterinarian for region-specific deworming advice.
Protect Against Mites
NexGard Spectra treats and controls demodectic mange, sarcoptic mange, and ear mites (Otodectes cynotis), supporting healthy skin and ears.
How NexGard Spectra Works
NexGard Spectra combines two active ingredients:
- Afoxolaner – An ectoparasiticide that kills fleas, ticks, and mites quickly when they attempt to feed.
- Milbemycin Oxime – An endoparasiticide that targets internal worms such as roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms.
This combination ensures all-in-one parasite protection with a single monthly chew.
