iO Electrolyte Powder is a nutritional supplement formulated for horses and other animals requiring support for normal electrolyte levels. It helps replace key electrolytes that may be depleted through sweating during strenuous exercise, hot weather and demanding environmental conditions.

The balanced formula supplies chloride, sodium, potassium, magnesium and glucose, helping support normal electrolyte balance when additional supplementation is required.

Directions for Use

The amount required should be matched to the horse's level of activity and anticipated sweat loss. Divide the daily amount between feeds, using 1 scoop per feed as required.

Important Hydration Information

Electrolytes may be used to encourage drinking, including during transport or when a horse is reluctant to drink in unfamiliar surroundings. Drinking may be stimulated approximately 3–4 hours after administration.

Horses receiving electrolyte supplementation must have access to and consume adequate water. Do not force-feed electrolytes to a dehydrated horse. Horses receiving electrolytes should be monitored for signs of dehydration, including skin elasticity, mucous membrane appearance and hydration, and capillary refill.

Racing Information

Use of this product before racing does not elevate plasma bicarbonate levels and therefore does not contravene racing rules.
