Dosage and Administration
Administer orally at the following recommended dosages:
- Moxidectin: 0.4 mg/kg
- Praziquantel: 2.5 mg/kg
The gel comes in a ready-to-use calibrated syringe, with weight intervals marked in 25 kg increments to ensure precise dosing for your horse.
How to Use:
- Prepare the Syringe: Hold the syringe with the capped end facing left, so the weight markings are visible. Rotate the green dial ring until it aligns with the horse’s weight.
- Administer the Gel:
- Ensure the horse’s mouth is empty.
- Place the syringe nozzle between the front and rear teeth, aiming for the back of the tongue.
- Gently press the plunger to deliver the gel onto the back of the horse’s tongue.
- Raise the horse’s head to ensure the gel is swallowed.
- For horses over 575 kg, more than one syringe may be required.
Surplus Gel:
If any gel remains in the syringe, replace the barrel cap and store it at room temperature (below 30°C) for later use. Do not use past the expiry date.
If the first horse treated weighs less than 575 kg, the remaining gel can be used for a second horse. Adjust the green dial to the appropriate weight for the next animal.
Presentation
