Morantel Tartrate (167mg/g) is a depolarising neuromuscular blocking agent that acts on acetylcholine receptors, producing spastic paralysis in roundworms and tapeworms. Together these two actives provide broad-spectrum control covering large and small strongyles, tapeworms (Anoplocephala perfoliata), roundworms including abamectin-resistant strains of Parascaris equorum, bots, and skin lesions caused by Habronema and Draschia species. Safe for use in pregnant mares and foals from four weeks of age. Each 32.5g mint-flavoured syringe treats a horse up to 600kg.
• Ammo Rotational Horse Wormer 32.6g - A benzimidazole-class wormer containing oxfendazole (185g/kg), specifically designed for use in rotation with the Ammo Allwormer. Oxfendazole works through a different mechanism to abamectin and morantel, interfering with the metabolic pathways of intestinal parasites and sterilising worm eggs within 24 hours of dosing, which directly reduces pasture contamination. Effective against adult and immature forms of the major equine worms including large and small strongyles, roundworms, pinworms and Habronema. Also kills the tissue stages of Strongylus edentatus and aids in controlling the migrating stages of Strongylus vulgaris. Safe for use in foals, yearlings, stallions and pregnant mares.
• Ammo Stud Bucket 50 Tubes - A bulk pack of 50 Ammo Allwormer syringes, designed for studs, agistment centres and large horse properties where multiple horses need treating regularly. How to Use Ammo in a Rotational Program

Rotating between worming products that use different active ingredients is an important strategy for slowing the development of anthelmintic resistance in horse worm populations. The recommended approach with the Ammo range is to worm every six to eight weeks with the Ammo Allwormer and introduce the Ammo Rotational Wormer as an alternative after 12 months. To maintain control of bots and tapeworms, the Allwormer should be administered twice during spring and twice during autumn regardless of rotation schedule. All horses on the property should be wormed simultaneously, and any horse newly arriving on the property should be wormed immediately on arrival and kept away from established paddocks for several days to prevent contamination. Faecal egg counts are a useful tool for tailoring the frequency and product choice to the actual worm burden on your property.
