Who can apply to become a Rescue Partner?+

Australian shelters, rescues and foster-based organisations can apply. We review each application individually to keep the program fair and sustainable.

Do we need a Vet Shed customer account to apply?+

Yes. Your approval status and referral code must be linked to a Vet Shed customer account. Please submit your application using the same email address as your Vet Shed account. If you don’t have an account yet, create one first and then return to apply.

How does referral credit work?+

Once approved, we’ll provide a unique referral link for your organisation. When supporters place orders using your link, you earn store credit. We’ll confirm the credit details and timing in your approval email.

Do supporters get a discount when using our code?+

The program is designed to prioritise rescue store credit. If we introduce supporter discounts in future, we’ll communicate it clearly to partners.

How do we get a personalised wish list link?+

Tick the wish list option in the application and tell us what you need most. You can be broad or send us through the exact products you are after. We’ll follow up and help set up a shareable wish list link for your supporters.

What are “donated items” and are they guaranteed?+

Donated items may include short-dated, damaged packaging or clearance products. Donations are optional, not guaranteed, and only included when suitable and available.

Can we choose what donated items we receive?+

You can provide preferences in your application (what’s helpful and what to avoid). While we can’t guarantee exact items, it helps us keep donations relevant.

How long does approval take?+

We aim to review applications as quickly as possible. During busy periods it may take a little longer, but we’ll confirm by email once your application has been processed.

Can foster carers apply?+

Yes, foster carers can apply, especially if you’re working under a registered rescue/shelter. If you’re applying as an individual foster carer, include details in your application so we can review.

Can we promote our adoptable animals through The Vet Shed?+

We love supporting adoption wherever we can. Opportunities may include occasional spotlights or sharing content, but promotion isn’t guaranteed and depends on scheduling. If you have an urgent adoption drive, mention it in your application notes.

Who do we contact if we need help?+

Apply via the Rescue Partner form and include your question in the notes. If you’re already a partner, reply to your approval email and our team will help.
