Feeding Preparation Methods

Refrigerate for up to 1 day or freeze prepared mixes for up to 2 weeks.

Meat-Mix

Mix 10g (1 level scoop) of powder with 20g of minced meat, fish, or hard-boiled egg.
Add water if needed for consistency. Live insects may be added to encourage feeding.

Veg-Mix

Mix 10g (1 scoop) with 50g of finely chopped fruit or vegetables.

Soft Pellets

Mix 20g (2 scoops) with 12mL of water.
Gradually add water to form a firm paste. Roll into small pellets and feed. Ensure fresh water is always available.

Liquid Slurry (for syringe feeding or critical care)

Mix 10g (1 scoop) with 25mL of warm water.
Let stand for 1 minute to fully absorb. Adjust consistency with more water if needed.
Can be blended 50/50 with recovery food (e.g., Hills a/d™) for palatability. Serve warm (~30°C) via syringe with large bore.

Feeding Recommendations by Species

Turtles

Offer live foods (insects, crustaceans, feeder fish) alongside Meat-Mix or Soft Pellets.
Avoid overfeeding and remove uneaten food to prevent water contamination.

Bearded Dragons, Blue-tongued Lizards & Large Skinks

Feed a mix of live insects and plant matter with Veg-Mix, Meat-Mix, or Soft Pellets.

Small Skinks, Juvenile Dragons & Geckos

These insectivores benefit from live insects paired with Meat-Mix or moist crumble made from rehydrated supplement.

Goannas & Snakes

Inject 5mL of Liquid Slurry per 50g of whole prey before feeding.

Feeding Quantities (Estimated Daily Intake)

Use body weight and species-specific needs to determine feeding volume.
Adjust based on ambient temperature:

• At 25°C, multiply feed amounts by 0.7

• At 35°C, multiply by 1.5

If feeding less frequently (e.g., every 2–3 days), multiply daily amount by the number of days between feeds.
