Cosy Heat Pad – Gentle, Consistent Warmth for Animals and Birds

The Cosy Heat Pad provides a safe, low-level heat source for young, sick, injured, or recovering animals and birds. Designed for use in veterinary settings, wildlife care, and at home, it helps maintain optimal body temperatures and supports recovery in a wide range of species.

Ideal For:

• Orphaned marsupials – place at the back of hanging pouches, with insulation between the pad and the animal.
• Veterinary clinics – useful for operating tables and post-surgical recovery areas.
• Reptiles – use as a ground heat source, positioned at one end of the enclosure to allow thermoregulation.
• Hospital cages and recovery boxes – for birds and mammals requiring warmth during rehabilitation.
• Dog and cat bedding – place under bedding with chew protection for comfort in cold weather.

How It Works:

The Cosy Heat Pad plugs into a standard 240V electrical outlet and gradually warms the area beneath it. The surface temperature typically rises 15–20°C above ambient room temperature. Always allow animals to move freely on or off the heated area to avoid discomfort.

Temperature Guidelines:

• For optimal comfort, ensure the animal's resting surface is between 20°C and 35°C.
• Below 10°C room temp: Place animals close to the pad surface.
• Above 10°C room temp: Insulate animals from the pad with layers of woollen fabric. Adjust insulation thickness based on comfort and temperature.

Warning: Monitor temperature closely. Overheating can lead to heat stress. The built-in cut-off switch helps prevent unsafe surface temperatures, but careful monitoring is essential—especially for young or vulnerable animals.

Cleaning Instructions:

To clean, unplug the device and wipe the outer PVC surface with a damp cloth or sponge. Do not immerse the pad in water. Always ensure the pad is dry before plugging it back in.
