Complete Nutrition for South American Parrots

• 80% South American Mix pellets
• 15% fresh fruits and vegetables (e.g., leafy greens, berries, papaya, mango)
• 5% raw, unsalted nuts (e.g., macadamias, almonds, walnuts)

Vetafarm Deli Stix can be used within the 5% treat portion for added variety and behavioural enrichment.

The pellets are extruded, meaning they’re cooked at high temperatures for better digestibility, improved safety (pathogen reduction), and increased nutrient uptake.

Feeding Guidelines

Feed approximately 8g of pellets per 100g of body weight per day, making up 80% of the parrot’s total daily diet.

Average daily pellet requirements:

• Small Conure (~100g): 8g pellets
• Medium Amazon (~400g): 30g pellets
• Large Macaw (~800g): 60g pellets

Fresh water should always be available.
