Avian lice and mites can lead to severe discomfort and health problems in caged and aviary birds. Symptoms such as excessive scratching, flaky or powdery skin, feather damage, and even scabbing are common. In more serious cases, infestations may cause anaemia, weakened immunity, and reproductive issues.

Vetafarm's Avian Insect Liquidator (Ready to Use) is a veterinarian-formulated spray designed specifically to control external parasites, including avian lice (Phthiraptera: Mallophaga) and mites (Dermanyssus spp. and Ornithonyssus spp.) in ornamental birds. This ready-to-use solution delivers immediate knockdown of adult parasites and up to six weeks of residual protection, safeguarding both birds and their environment.

Directions for Use:

For direct application to birds:

• Hold the spray bottle 30–40cm from the bird.
• Spray lightly to ensure even coverage of feathers.
• Avoid spraying near eyes, nostrils, or open wounds.
• One application provides protection for up to 6 weeks.

For treating the environment:

• Spray thoroughly in and around aviaries, perches, nesting boxes, cage bars, and floors.
• Ensure all areas are well-ventilated after spraying.
• Repeat every 6 weeks or as required for ongoing protection.

Important Notes:

• Not for use on birds producing meat or eggs for human consumption
• Harmful to fish – Cover fish tanks and avoid contaminating water sources such as ponds, streams, and aquariums during use
• Use in accordance with label directions and observe standard safety precautions

• Piperonyl Butoxide – 6.25g/L
