Royal Canin Glycobalance Dry Dog Food
Veterinary diet formulated to help stabilise blood sugar levels in adult dogs with diabetes - now replacing Royal Canin Diabetic.
Royal Canin Glycobalance is a complete veterinary diet specifically developed to support the nutritional management of diabetes mellitus in adult dogs. Diabetes mellitus is a condition where the body's ability to produce or use insulin is reduced. Insulin works to move glucose from food into the cells of the body to provide energy. Without adequate insulin action, glucose remains in the bloodstream at elevated levels rather than being used by the cells.
This diet uses a specific formula with a low glycaemic index and reduced starch content to help slow the rise in blood glucose after eating. Supporting glucomodulation through nutrition is a key part of managing diabetes in dogs, and Royal Canin Glycobalance is formulated with this as a priority. The formula now contains algal oil - a sustainable alternative to fish oil that provides the same essential EPA and DHA fatty acids while reducing pressure on fish ecosystems.
As part of the Royal Canin Veterinary Range, this product should only be fed to your dog on the recommendation of a veterinary professional.
Key Benefits of Royal Canin Glycobalance
