Bay-O-Pet Kiltix collar is used for the control of paralysis ticks for 6 weeks and prevention of fleas and other ticks for 5 months.The Kiltix collar is a plastic resin collar, weighing 45gms. This collar should be worn continuously. Please remember daily searching for paralysis ticks is advisable (especially in paralysis tick areas), and removal of any tick found is a wise precaution. In dogs with very thick double coats it may take up to 1 week for the Bay-O-Pet Kiltix Collar to establish effective levels in heavily coated areas of the body. The Kiltix Collar resists the effects of water, however, it is recommended that it be removed during bathing. Constant swimming and bathing will remove insecticide from the coat and may cause diminished flea and tick control.
COLLAR LENGTH: 66cm long. This collar can be cut to size.

Might be effective, but the smell is very strong
By: Meg on 11 March 2021I had previously used seresto but purchased the kiltix because it was on special. I wouldn’t recommend for inside /lap dogs as the smell is very strong and transfers to whatever the dog is on. Rating isn’t based on effectiveness - it may be effective but we had to remove them due smell.

31 January 2014This product was recommended by my Vet to stave off paralysis ticks which are rife in our area. So far it seems to be working. The collar also killed the fleas that came with the dog when we picked it up from the previous owner. These are way cheaper on this website than buying from the vet. Thx guys.

Easy to Use and Effective
1 November 2013I use Kiltix collars on my dog with Panoramis every month and it is excellent. Easy to use, doesn't cause any irritation, can remove when I wash or take her to the beach. Love it. I live in a tick area and this is a really cost effective product that works.

Unsure
19 October 2013Unsure of same ammount of powder on each collar,some look lighter than others.. I have used it for over 10 years though & have never seen a tick on my dog even though we lived in quite a bushy area..

By: Sarndra L on 21 August 2011I have nearly lost my beloved dog twice due to paralysis ticks, despite using products supposed to protect him. The second time, I was discussing the products used with the Vet & he recommended Bay-O-Pet KIltix collar. I simply replace it every 4 - 6 weeks (depending on the time of the year) and I have not had a problem since. I find small dead ticks only on him. Highly recommend!
