What is Hoofprime?

How does Hoofprime function?

Spring/Summer

In the heat and aridity of summer, the hoof faces the demanding task of supporting a 500kg horse in motion. With unforgiving, rigid surfaces and fragile hooves, the risk of subsequent hoof damage and potential lameness heightens. Inadequately maintained hooves are susceptible to dryness, loss of flexibility, and ailments such as contracted heels, navicular syndrome (resulting from constant toe impact on hard surfaces), and sand cracks.

Autumn/Winter

Autumn and winter present some of the harshest conditions of the year, marked by temperature fluctuations, wet climates, muddy terrain, reduced sunlight, and constrained time. Enduring the challenges of cold, damp weather is familiar to us all. While we focus on layering rugs to shield our horses' bodies, their hooves endure the brunt of winter's severity. Increased water absorption during this time can render hooves soft and pliable, creating vulnerabilities for pathogens to breach the hoof wall's protective barrier and instigate infections.
