iO Cattle Tick Off Pour On (Fluazuron)

iO Tick Off Pour On is a tick development inhibitor containing the insect growth regulator fluazuron 25 g/L. It interferes with chitin synthesis in larval stages of cattle tick, controlling susceptible strains of Boophilus microplus and inhibiting tick development within three days. Ready-to-use pour-on formulation.

How it works

Fluazuron (IGR) disrupts chitin synthesis. When cattle are treated, immature ticks cannot moult to the next life stage, and no larvae hatch from eggs laid by treated females, breaking the tick life cycle.

Indications

For strategic control of cattle tick (Boophilus microplus), including all known acaricide resistant strains, on beef cattle.

• 1-dodecyl-2-pyrrolidone 100 g/L
• 1-octyl-2-pyrrolidone 100 g/L
• 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidone 415 g/L

Directions for use

• Apply in two bands, roughly 7 cm wide, one on each side of the spine between the rump and the shoulders.
• Re-treat when ticks are first seen, but not before at least six weeks after the previous treatment.
• Maximum of three treatments per tick season annually.
