Equimax Oral Worming Paste for Horses
 

Composition Abamectin 3.7 mg/g, praziquantel 46.2 mg/g; palatable oatmeal base.
 Actions   Anthelmintic. Equimax has efficacy against tapeworm, large strongyles, small strongyles, pinworm, stomach hairworm, intestinal threadworm, bots, ascarids, neck threadworm, large mouthed stomach worm, lungworm. Up to 100% kill of tapeworms within 24 hours. Up to 100% kill of other worms (including benzimidazole resistant strains).
 Indications Treatment and control of tapeworm and roundworm (including arterial larval stages of Strongyloides vulgaris and benzimidazole resistant small strongyles), bots and skin lesions caused by Habronema sp. and Draschia sp. (summer sores), and Onchocerca sp. microfilaria in horses.
 Withholding Periods Meat. 28 days.
 Adverse Reactions No adverse reactions have been detected using the recommended dose rate. Demonstrated to be safe to use at up to twice the recommended dose in foals, pregnant mares and breeding stallions, and at up to five times the recommended dose in adult horses.
 Dosage and Administration 1 mL/ 20 kg bodyweight (5.4 g/100 kg bodyweight). 1 syringe will treat a 700 kg horse. It is recommended that horses be wormed every 6 to 8 weeks.
