I'd rate this feeder 9 out of 10 for mess reduction. It is great but I could have rated it much lower and it still would have been an improvement on my old feeders. Very happy. Just a little difficult to blow out husks of eaten seeds but getting the hang of it now. Would highly recommend this product.

Only one thing missing

The drinking cup is very good except there is no perch on the front for my birds to stand on. I have to try and locate it near a perch, which is not always convenient. Otherwise it is a good idea to have it covered on three sides.
