How to Custom Shape Your INVISA Muzzle
- Place the muzzle in hot tap water for 1 minute.
- Remove from the water and when safe to touch, use your hands to shape the basket to suit your dog.
- Cool in cold water to lock in the shape.
- Try the muzzle on your dog to check the fit - remould again if needed.
- Note - the material may gradually return to its original shape over time and may need periodic reshaping.
Acclimatising Your Dog to the INVISA Muzzle
It is completely normal for dogs to initially try to remove a new muzzle. Use positive reinforcement to help your dog build a comfortable and confident association with wearing it:
- Use treats to encourage your dog to place their nose into the muzzle voluntarily
- Place the muzzle on for just a few seconds before removing and rewarding immediately
- Gradually build up the duration the muzzle is worn over multiple sessions
- If your dog tries to remove the muzzle, distract them with a treat or favourite toy
- In the early stages use the collar loop for added security and to minimise muzzle movement
