Avitrol Plus Praziquantel Bird Wormer Syrup Concentrate
Avitrol Plus is a complete in-water allwormer for ornamental cage birds. It contains levamisole hydrochloride and praziquantel to treat a broad range of internal parasites.
Active Ingredients
Levamisole hydrochloride 10 mg/mL
Praziquantel 2 mg/mL
Indications
For the treatment of threadworm (Capillaria spp.), caecal worm (Heterakis spp.), roundworm (Ascaridia spp.), gape worm (Syngamus spp.), gizzard worm (Acuaria spp.) and tapeworm (Raillietina spp.) in ornamental cage birds.
Dosage & Administration
Dilute 0.5 mL (12 drops) in 20 mL of drinking water or 25 mL per litre. Use as the sole source of drinking water for 24 hours and feed only seed during treatment. Prepare fresh solution daily.
Repeat in 14 days with fresh solution or as directed by a veterinary surgeon. Remove all other water sources during treatment.
Important Information
- Not recommended for Gouldian finches
- Do not treat stressed birds or birds feeding young
- Avoid dosing in extremely hot weather
- Wash hands after use
- Withholding period (meat): 7 days
