Lovebirds are among the smallest parrot species that are kept as companion pets.  Lovebirds are approx 13–17 cm (5–7 in) in length, up to 24 cm in wingspan with 9 cm for a single wing and 40–60 g (11⁄2–2 oz) in weight. Lovebirds have a stocky build, a short blunt tail, and a relatively large, sharp beak.

Lovebirds are curious and appear to be constantly active. As their name implies, lovebirds are renowned for the devoted, caring relationships they frequently have with their partners. Lovebirds need the largest cage that fits within your budget and available space because they enjoy exercising. When lovebirds are kept in confined cages with little opportunity for freedom, they can become neurotic and even start self-mutilating tendencies. These energetic parrots need toys including foraging enrichment toys to stimulate their intelligent mind.  We have diets that will keep your lovebird in the best health.
