Directions for Use:

To make 500mL of nectar:

1. Add powder to a bottle half-filled with warm (not hot) water.

2. Shake thoroughly to disperse.

3. Top up with more water and shake again until fully mixed.

• Store nectar in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours, or freeze in small portions (e.g., ice cube trays) for up to one month.

• Thaw out only what you need and do not re-freeze nectar once thawed.

Tip: For variety and added flavour, prepare the nectar with half water and half fruit juice.

Feeding Guidelines

For Captive Birds:

Offer as a treat alongside fresh fruit and native blossoms. Avoid overfeeding as excessive intake may lead to obesity and waste. This nectar is not intended to replace a complete diet.

For Wild Birds:

Use to supplement natural feeding and attract nectar-feeders into your garden.

• Serve in a shallow glazed bowl or nectar tube on an elevated or suspended feeding station.

• Ration daily:

  • Max 10mL per lorikeet

  • Max 5mL per honeyeater

• Always remove leftovers and clean dishes thoroughly to reduce the risk of disease transmission.

Note: Attracting birds may also attract predators—monitor the environment and take precautions as needed.
