Composition Each kg contains biotin 500 mg, gelatin 66.6 g, sulfur (precipitated) 133.3 g, methionine 286.6 g, choline 6.8 g, zinc 240 mg, magnesium 164.7 g.
Actions Improves wall strength and thickness; promotes thicker soles, deeper heels, healthier frogs; faster recovery following corn and stone bruise removal. Regrowth of cracked and damaged hoof walls is accelerated.
Indications Aid in the prevention and treatment of cracked walls, contracted heels, bruised soles, shallow heels, laminitis, thin soles, seedy toe, split frogs, shelly feet.
Withholding Periods Nil.
Dosage and Administration Treatment. 30 g daily, mixed through the feed.
Routine prevention. 15 g daily, mixed through the feed.
Pregnant mares. 60 g daily, for mares in the last quarter of gestation.
Measure provided holds 30 g.
Overall improvement in hoof horn growth and strength generally occurs within 3 to 5 months. In cases of severe hoof damage, and with very large horses, supplementation should continue for 9 to 12 months, or longer.
