Life changing, honestly
By: Jess on 16 September 2022My large bull arab mastiff is the best dog ever, very well trained in a home setting and listens very well....until we go on a walk, he cant focus or listen and is a pulled and a lunger. He is so friendly and gentle but is so distracted and impossible to walk on a lead and collar, walking him is a daily ritual that i have come to dread since my 3 year old wont go in the pram anymore... With 2 young kids (walking toddler and baby in a pram) and a very sore wrist/arm/shoulder i needed a solution NOW.. So after much review I purchased both the halti no pull body harness, and the halti head harness, and used with my duel end lead. Overkill maybe, but hey! On our first walk, he went to pull ...but that was it, he was beyond perfect the entire walk! He did try to lunge at first 2 dogs but he instantly stopped, stepped backwards and leaned on my leg, i told him to sit expecting his mind to still be on the dog but he suprised me and sat ..WHO IS THIS DOG!! Then after 3 dogs he just didnt react to the next lot of dogs (aside from eyeballing them). Its gone from being pulled continually, dragged along, pulled over a few times when lunges, sore wrists and shoulders to a dog who is walking perfectly on a slack leash, unfussed and very clearly less anxious too .....literally instantly. Im not sure how he would go with each product individually though as i haven't tested yet, but will, but with 2 kids and a pram in tow this instant "system" has turned our daily somewhat dangerous, embarrassing and extremely stressful walks into something i could have only dreamed about. Honestly life changing. I have not used long but i am very very happy with it.
