Fetlock Ring (Sausage boot)

• Prevents horse from stepping on its hoof and causing damage.
• Used either in the stable or during exercise.
• Sold as a single ring.

Fetlock rings are often referred to as sausage boots or an anti-brushing ring. When a horse brushes low, has a tendency to be heavy on the forehand (forging), or moves too close behind, a fetlock ring can be used to give protection.  It is a  tubular rubber ring, about 1.5cm thick, with a  strap that runs through the centre of the rubber ring.
