Virbac Tapeworm Tablets are for treatment of all forms of tapeworms in dogs and cats – including hydatid tapeworm and the “Zipper Worm” spiometra erinacii. (Please note that Spirometrea erinacil will only be removed by giving one tablet of Virbac Tapewormer for dogs and cats for every 2.5kg of body weight. eg dose at 4 times the normal dose)

Active Constituents: 50mg Praziquantel.

Directions for Use
All animals should be treated for tapeworm control at three monthly intervals (every six weeks in dogs in Hydatid areas) commencing at three months of age.
In addition, breeding females should be treated at mating; approximately one week before birth and thereafter every three months.

Virbac Tapewormer for dogs and cats is to be used as a single dose treatment. Tablets may be administered whole or crushed and put in food.

Dogs:
1 tablet/10kg bodyweight

Cats:
1/4 tablet under 1.5kg bodyweight
1/2 tablet from 1.6 to 5kg bodyweight
3/4 tablet over 5kg bodyweight

I was so happy to be able to buy individual tapewo

I was so happy to be able to buy individual tapewormer tablets. I'd been looking for them everywhere but couldn't find any sold individually, only in 100 tablet bottles which would last my two cats several lifetimes! These are also fantastic because I just need to split them in half for my two 5kg cats instead of fiddling around giving them 3/4 of a tablet like some other brands. I am very pleased with this product.
