Actions:
MALASEB Shampoo is a potent, broad-spectrum medicated shampoo designed to treat a variety of skin infections in pets. It combines two powerful active ingredients: Miconazole and Chlorhexidine.

• Miconazole is an antifungal agent that effectively targets Malassezia pachydermatis, a yeast responsible for seborrhoeic dermatitis, as well as dermatophytes like Microsporum gypseum, M. canis, and Trichophyton mentagrophytes. It also has strong activity against Gram-positive bacteria.

• Chlorhexidine is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial that combats both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, yeasts, moulds, and fungi, providing effective treatment for a range of skin infections.

The combination of these two ingredients ensures that MALASEB is highly effective in eliminating the organisms responsible for seborrhoeic dermatitis and bacterial dermatitis caused by Staphylococcus intermedius, which often grows alongside Malassezia in affected pets.

Indications:

• Seborrhoeic dermatitis caused by Malassezia pachydermatis and Staphylococcus intermedius.
• Treatment of dermatophyte infections (ringworm) caused by Microsporum canis, M. gypseum, and Trichophyton mentagrophytes in both dogs and cats. MALASEB helps reduce the time for clinical resolution and eliminates infective spores.

Directions for Use:

1. Thoroughly wet the animal with clean water.
2. Apply the foam to several areas of the animal's coat, massaging it in well.
3. For better lather and coat penetration, use a sponge.
4. Pay extra attention to areas where the infection is likely to persist, such as the lips, under the tail, and between the toes.
5. Leave the foam on for 10 minutes, then rinse off thoroughly with clean water.
6. Repeat the treatment twice weekly until symptoms improve, then continue weekly or as directed by your veterinarian.

For dermatophytosis (ringworm), it is recommended to treat all in-contact animals to help prevent further spread of the infection and reduce environmental contamination.
