Popantel treats all gastrointestinal worms including roundworm, hookworms, whipworms and tapeworms including hydatids. While Popantel is effective in killing adult worms that are present in the intestine at the time of treatment, worming is not a vaccine against future attacks. That’s why regular treatment with popantel is essential. Dogs and cats can be reinfected from other pets and from the environment.
>BR> Dogs should be treated at 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 weeks of age, then monthly at 4, 5 and 6 months of age and then every 3 months. Pregnant and lactating bitches should be treated before mating, 10 days before whelping, then 2 and 4 weeks after whelping. Dogs in Hydatid Tapeworm areas need treatment with popantel every 6 weeks.
1 x Popantel 10kg tablet will treat a dog up to 10kg.
